Abbey Pest Control
As bee season draws to a close and the weather hots up, thanks to the Saharan heatwave we experienced this weekend, we are seeing wasps and hornets starting to emerge in search of food. At Abbey Pest Control we have already found and removed several smaller nests around Caversham, Arborfield, Lower Earley and Reading so far this year.
With the rising temperatues we have noticed the number of individual wasps within the nest increasing in the past week. We’ve been called out this weekend to several very active nests in Woodley, Camberley and Central Reading. As the nests start to expand, more drones will leave the nest to find food sources for the queen wasps newly laid larvae. It is at this stage when the nests will start to become more noticeable and more aggressive, if you start to see an increased number of wasps around your home or place of business chances are there is a wasp nest nearby.

If you have a problem with wasps or hornets don’t hesitate to contact us here at Abbey Pest Control.
